“A Fare Idea”

In "A Fare Idea," Mr. Weatherbee launches a school contest to sculpt the best likeness of himself, setting off a chain of misunderstandings when Reggie mistakes Archie’s accidental mishap with a ruined bust for a clever ruse. With Jughead’s sculpture destroyed and Reggie convinced Archie’s is the winner, he impulsively buys the damaged piece—only to try passing it off as his own creation. The story unfolds with classic Archie charm, all drawn by Harry Lucey, and features a cover by Rex W. Lindsey.

Mr. Weatherbee is having a contest to see which student can sculpt the best likeness of their principal. Reggie overhears a conversation and thinks that Archie is going to win. Jughead has just ruined his sculpture by dropping it, but Reggie sees Archie holding it and assumes that it's the winning bust. He buys the "modern" Weatherbee bust from Archie in an attempt to pass it off as his own work.
