Invincible #41 finds Mark Grayson square in the middle of a city street in his signature blue-and-yellow costume, bracing against the enormous fist of a massive pink creature while confetti fills the air and a crowd of onlookers — including a stoic police officer — watches from the sidewalk. Ryan Ottley's cover crackles with kinetic energy, contrasting the hero's determined grin against the sheer scale of the threat looming over him. Robert Kirkman's series was living up to its self-proclaimed tagline — "Probably the Best Superhero Comic Book in the Universe!" — and this 2007 issue makes a strong case for it.
