Detective Comics #2
Part of DC's sweeping New 52 relaunch, Detective Comics #2 arrives in December 2011 with a cover that puts Batman front and center in an intense, low-angle composition — cape billowing, gloved fists braced against what appears to be a cockpit of heavy machinery, with smoke or steam billowing dramatically behind him. Tony S. Daniel's pencils and Ryan Winn's inks give the Dark Knight a raw, coiled energy, his white eyes locked forward with unmistakable intensity. "Playtime's Over" promises a story that matches the cover's no-nonsense mood perfectly.
