Who is Apollo?

Apollo is a supremely powerful superhero whose abilities are fueled by solar energy, making him essentially a sun-powered powerhouse. A key member of the Authority, he operates as part of a ruthless, results-driven team willing to do whatever it takes to protect the Earth.

Bursting onto the scene in 1998 courtesy of creators Robert Loren Fleming and Juvaun Kirby, Apollo made his debut in the pages of Gen 13 Bootleg #17 and has been a presence in the DC Universe ever since — a Modern Age figure with staying power that stretches across more than two decades. His catalog journey has taken him through titles as varied as Jenny Sparks and Batman/Superman, and he's shared pages with some of DC's most iconic names, including Superman, Wonder Woman, and the formidable Midnighter. Celebrated in DC Poster Portfolio: DC Pride, Apollo holds a meaningful place in DC's history, and any collector with an eye for characters who resonate beyond their page count will find him well worth tracking down.
