Animal Man #25
In "Monkey Puzzles," Animal Man ventures into a haunting graveyard of forgotten characters, guided by the enigmatic Merryman, who warns that the monkey responsible for writing beings back into existence is dying. As Animal Man races to save him, time bends and reality shifts, leading him not to the City of Formation, but back to his own home—years after he left. Following the script in the monkey’s hand, he embarks on a surreal journey that takes him to Grant Morrison’s doorstep. Written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Chas Truog, with inks by Mark Farmer, colors by Tatjana Wood, and letters by John Costanza, the issue features a cover by Brian Bolland.
