A minor but memorable corner of the DC Universe, Cecil Sunbeam made his debut in Grant Morrison and Chas Truog's celebrated Animal Man run in 1990 — one of the Copper Age's most acclaimed and boundary-pushing titles. With appearances stretching across three and a half decades into 2024, this modest catalog presence has nonetheless earned Cecil a place in some distinguished company, sharing pages with the likes of Metamorpho and turning up in Danger Street alongside an eclectic cast. A small piece of a very big, very interesting puzzle.
