This issue contains Perley Poore Sheehan's complete novel "The Woman of the Pyramid," which opens with American gentleman George Carlton encountering a mysterious, Egyptian-looking woman with green eyes and black brows repeatedly while in the company of his fiancée Alice Wentworth in Paris, Munich, and London. Carlton, a wealthy amateur investigator of spiritualism and the occult, reveals he has seen the woman three times. Alice reveals the woman is her Aunt Rhodopis, a distant relative of her mother's who lived in an Egyptian-treasure-filled house, traveled in the Orient, and struck Alice during her childhood. The narrative emphasizes mystery and hints at occult implications. The issue also contains serials by Francis William Sullivan, De Lysle Ferree Cass, J. Earl Clauson, and the fourth installment of Edgar Rice Burroughs's "Warlord of Mars," plus six additional short stories.
Each page has its own page — the cartoon, who’s in it, and what the satire means.
