Stephen DeStefano
Stephen DeStefano was born on January 18, 1966, in the United States. He is best known as the co-creator of the DC Comics series *'Mazing Man* and *Hero Hotline*, both developed with writer Bob Rozakis. DeStefano's career in comics began in the mid-1980s, and he worked steadily as an artist, inker, letterer, and occasional writer across 73 issues from 1986 to 2021. His most frequent credits include *'Mazing Man*, *Cage!*, *Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Adventures*, *Hero Hotline*, *Cool World*, and *Bill & Ted's Excellent Comic Book*. His style is clean and expressive, well-suited for both superhero antics and licensed properties. Beyond comics, DeStefano worked extensively as an animator and storyboard artist, contributing to various television and film projects. His collaborative work with Rozakis produced some of DC's more offbeat and humorous titles of the late 1980s. DeStefano's legacy lies in his ability to bring a light, energetic touch to both creator-owned and franchise work. He has not been widely recognized with major industry awards, but his contributions remain appreciated by fans of quirky, character-driven storytelling.
