'Mazing Man Special #1

DC's beloved 'Mazing Man gets the special treatment in this 1987 one-shot, with a cover by Stephen DeStefano and Karl Kesel that sets a perfectly bittersweet tone: the little goggle-helmeted hero sits slumped against a brick wall beside a large "MISSING" poster bearing his own sad face, while a burly, long-haired neighbor and a young woman look on with concern. The story title "Where Oh Where Has My Little Friend Gone?" promises the kind of warm, character-driven humor this series does so well, courtesy of writer Bob Rozakis and artist Stephen DeStefano.
