Sweatshop #2
The cover of Sweatshop #2 (July 2003) says it all: four rubbery, exaggerated characters crowd around a boxy television set, their mouths stretched wide in shock, delight, or disbelief — while a fifth figure appears trapped and screaming on the TV screen itself. Peter Bagge's cover art captures the series' anarchic, underground-comedy energy perfectly, with every face contorted to gloriously absurd extremes. The tagline — "What's worse than selling out? Selling out AND failing!" — sets a wonderfully self-deprecating tone for this DC comedy series by Bagge, DeStefano, and Wray.
