Martin Pasko and Rick Burchett's 1989 reinvention of Blackhawk continues with issue #3, and Rick Burchett's cover alone makes a compelling case for picking it up. A masked figure in blue clutches a pistol while dangling from a hot-air balloon gondola, as a suited adversary atop the basket raises a knife — all of it set against a vivid yellow sky with a biplane swooping in below. It's a wonderfully kinetic composition that captures the pulp-adventure spirit of "Cinderella Undercover" with style to spare.
