Cage! #1 launches with a pulse-pounding mystery: when Jo doesn’t show for a date, Cage tracks her from her apartment to the police station—only to find both empty. A cryptic prisoner warns him that every hero in the city is vanishing, and before he can react, three X-Men assault him through a window, sending him crashing to the ground. Now on the run, Cage barely escapes a truckload of panels only to be knocked out by two feline-like creatures. Written and illustrated by Genndy Tartakovsky, with inks by Stephen DeStefano and letters by VC's Clayton Cowles, the cover by Tartakovsky captures the issue’s frenetic energy.
