Scott Gross
Scott Gross is an American comic book artist and colorist best known for his work on Scooby-Doo and Looney Tunes titles for DC Comics. Born in the United States, Gross’s path into comics began after his earlier career as a musician—he was a guitarist, songwriter, and producer for the band From Autumn to Ashes, and later founded Hit And Run Studios in Long Island, New York. He transitioned to comics in the late 2000s, working primarily as an inker and colorist.
Gross’s signature style is clean, energetic, and well-suited to all-ages adventure and humor. He collaborated extensively with writers and artists on the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? series, as well as Looney Tunes comics, contributing to dozens of issues between 2008 and 2020. His work often involved bringing familiar animated characters to the page with lively expressions and dynamic layouts.
Gross is credited as artist, colorist, inker, and writer on 25 issues. His most frequent credits are on Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? and Looney Tunes. He also produced Jordan White’s 2016 EP *High Road*. While he has not received major industry awards, his consistent, reliable work made him a staple of DC’s licensed children’s comics for over a decade.
