David Tischman

David Tischman, an American comic book writer, entered the field in 2000 and remained active through 2018, contributing to over one hundred issues. He is best known for his work on the series *American Century*, a crime drama set in the 1950s, and for co-creating the vampire-noir series *Bite Club* with artist David Hahn. Tischman also wrote for *Cable* at Marvel, *Star Trek* comics, and the webcomic *Heroine Chic*. His other notable projects include the superhero deconstruction *Greatest Hits* and the mystery series *Red Herring*. Born in the United States, Tischman often collaborated with artists like Hahn and Howard Chaykin, bringing a sharp, dialogue-driven sensibility to his scripts. His work frequently explored genre tropes with a modern, character-focused twist. While he did not receive major industry awards, his contributions to independent and licensed comics earned him a dedicated readership.
