Bob Almond
Born on January 4, 1967, Bob Almond is an American comic book inker whose three-decade career spans a wide range of publishers and genres. He entered the industry in the early 1990s and went on to accumulate credits across more than 150 issues between 1992 and 2022, working primarily as an inker but also taking on coloring and lettering assignments throughout his career.
Almond is perhaps most closely associated with Marvel Comics, where his work on titles such as *Warlock and the Infinity Watch*, *Black Panther*, and *Annihilation: Conquest: Quasar* brought consistent craft to some of the publisher's cosmic and action-oriented corners. Beyond Marvel, his credits extend to horror and independent fare, including *A Nightmare on Elm Street*, *Bloodshot*, and *Captain Gravity: The Power of the Vril*, reflecting a versatility that kept him active across the industry for decades.
Outside of his inking work, Almond made a lasting organizational contribution to the comics field by spearheading the Inkwell Awards, an initiative dedicated to recognizing and honoring the achievements of comic book inkers — a role that has historically received less public attention than penciling or writing. That advocacy work stands as a meaningful part of his professional legacy, helping to elevate appreciation for the craft he practiced throughout his career.
