“Fear Itself”

In "Fear Itself," the Heroes for Hire are scattered across New York as the Chosen unleash chaos, with Misty Knight directing the team to contain escalating threats. Shroud and Elektra dive into the Raft’s depths, uncovering a tense standoff between Purple Man and Puppet Master—where the former holds the prison’s inmates in thrall, and the latter lies defenseless. Meanwhile, scientist Brady Briedel undergoes a terrifying transformation, becoming something far beyond human. Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, with art by Kyle Hotz and inks by Bob Almond, this 2011 issue delivers a pulse-pounding blend of psychological tension and supernatural dread, all captured in bold, dynamic visuals by cover artists Jay Anacleto.
