Who is Starshine?

Landra was a Galadorian woman who volunteered to undergo the painful Spaceknight transformation, sacrificing her humanity to become Starshine — one of the first generation of armored champions created to defend Galador from the Dire Wraith invasion.

Blazing onto the Bronze Age Marvel scene in 1981, Starshine made her debut in the pages of Rom — one of that era's most beloved cult sci-fi series — brought to life by the legendary creative team of Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema. She shares her adventures with Rom himself, Brandy Clark, and a cast of compelling characters that made that book such a richly layered corner of the Marvel Universe. With appearances collected across both the Rom Epic Collection and the handsome Rom: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus, she's a character whose legacy has been lovingly preserved for new generations of readers to discover. If you've ever wanted to dive deep into one of Marvel's most underrated Bronze Age epics, Starshine is a name worth knowing.
