Warlord of Mars #2
In this gripping second issue of Dynamite’s Warlord of Mars, John, the reluctant hero of Mars, finds himself at odds with Zat Arras, the power-hungry regent of Helium, who seeks to silence him after his recent exploits in the Iss. When Arras breaks his promise and captures John in the dead of night, his allies spring into action to free him—just as word arrives that Dejah Thoris has been taken by the Black Pirates and imprisoned in the palace of Issus. With Arras watching every move, John and his companions must plan a secret rescue, balancing danger, loyalty, and the ever-present threat of betrayal. Written by Arvid Nelson and brought to life with bold, dynamic art by Edgar Salazar and vivid colors by Marcelo Pinto, the cover by Joe Jusko captures the tension and scale of the Martian conflict.
