The Jughead Jones Comics Digest #75
In "Rash Thrasher," Archie finds himself caught in a whirlwind of misunderstandings when Veronica’s dad, Mr. Lodge, grows suspicious of Archie’s perfect behavior—only to be relieved when Archie accidentally stumbles into Smithers, the butler. Written by George Gladir and illustrated by Dan DeCarlo Jr. with inks by Jimmy DeCarlo, this 1992 installment captures the classic charm of Riverdale with a touch of slapstick. The cover by Stan Goldberg and Rudy Lapick perfectly captures the moment’s chaotic energy.

Veronica is going to talk to her dad about a new sportscar. At Veronica's house, Mr. Lodge keeps waiting for Archie to mess up, but he never does. Worried, he gets Veronica to ask Archie to leave. Angry, Archie stomps off and runs into Smithers, the Lodge's butler. Seeing the calamity, Mr. Lodge is at once relaxed, telling Veronica that if she wants to discuss her new sportscar, he'll be in his study. Overjoyed, Veronica rushes to a confused Archie and kisses him.
