When Veronica calls Betty and hears Archie’s there, she’s furious, only to be teased by Betty’s mom, who spins the story as Archie “tinkering with her turntable.” The next day, Betty’s unapologetic praise of Archie’s “nice work” and their “beautiful music together” leaves Veronica fuming. Written by Frank Doyle and illustrated by Dan DeCarlo Jr., with cover art by Dan DeCarlo, this 1982 issue captures the classic Archie charm with a touch of playful jealousy.
