The Fury of Firestorm #21
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this March 1984 issue — penciled by Rafael Kayanan and inked by Dick Giordano — sets up a dramatic freeze-frame confrontation on a highway overpass, where a white-clad ice-powered villainess faces off against Firestorm, the Nuclear Man, his signature flaming hair blazing as he braces for battle. Above them, an enormous swirling mass of trucks and cars has been wrenched off the road and hurled skyward amid jagged shards of ice, making the scale of the threat immediately clear. Gerry Conway's "Cold Snap!" looks like a pulse-quickening clash between fire and frost, brought to life with real energy by Kayanan and Rodriguez's interior work.
