The Fury of Firestorm #28
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe Nuclear Man meets a decidedly knotty new foe in this October 1984 issue, as the cover — penciled by Rafael Kayanan and inked by Dick Giordano — shows Firestorm bound and struggling in rope coils while the black-and-red-costumed Slipknot looms above him amid a greenhouse grid, wielding more of his signature rope with clear confidence. The teasing cover copy ("His name is Slipknot — see if you can guess why!") sets a playful tone that makes the threat feel all the more fun. With Gerry Conway and Joey Cavalieri on script and Kayanan's energetic linework carrying through to the interior art, this is a lively chapter in Firestorm's mid-'80s adventures.
