This omnibus collects the second half of the original Defenders series, covering issues from the mid-1970s through the early 1980s, including the team's battles against the Zodiac, the Sons of the Serpent, and the return of the Silver Surfer. In "Death-Song of Destiny!", the Defenders split up across the globe in a desperate bid to stop the Headmen’s escalating threat—Red Guardian and Nighthawk race to France, Power Man and Valkyrie fight a losing battle in India, and Jack Norriss confronts Ruby Thursday, only to be captured. With Dr. Strange and Nebulon both taken, the team’s fate hangs in the balance until the Hulk charges in to turn the tide. Written by Steve Gerber and brought to life by Sal Buscema’s dynamic art and Klaus Janson’s sharp inks, this high-stakes chapter pulses with tension and relentless momentum.
