The Defenders Annual #1

Nov 1976 · Marvel · 0.50 USD
“World Gone Sane?”

In "World Gone Sane?", the Defenders face a bizarre new threat as the Headmen seize control of global events, capturing team members across the world—from Red Guardian and Nighthawk in France to Power Man and Valkyrie in India, and Jack Norriss in a confrontation with Ruby Thursday. With Dr. Strange and Nebulon themselves taken, the Hulk's rampage becomes the only hope as the team’s scattered members are pulled into a surreal, high-stakes showdown. Written by Steve Gerber and illustrated by Sal Buscema with inks by Klaus Janson, this 1976 annual features dynamic art and a surreal twist on the team’s usual battles, all capped by a striking cover by Al Milgrom and Klaus Janson.
