The Champions Classic #2
In "Did Someone Say...the Stranger?", the world lies under Dr. Doom’s iron grip, paralyzed by a gas that silences resistance—until Doom, bored, sets Magneto free. With the Avengers still trapped, Magneto’s only success is breaking the Beast from the gas, setting off a chain of events that could unravel Doom’s control. Written by Bill Mantlo and illustrated by Bob Hall, with inks by Don Perlin and Duffy Vohland, colors by Don Warfield, and letters by Gaspar Saladino and Irving Watanabe, the issue’s cover by Ernie Chan captures the tension of a world on the edge.
