Iron Man Annual #4

This 1977 King-Size Annual promised readers twice the action and twice the thrills, and the cover by Al Milgrom makes good on that claim — Iron Man surges forward at full repulsor-powered speed while Angel soars overhead, Iceman shatters apart in the background, Hercules grapples below, and the Black Widow engages on her motorcycle, all converging against the looming, massive-headed menace of MODOK. Subtitled "The Caverns of Doomsday!," the issue teams the Armored Avenger with the Champions for what looks to be a gloriously chaotic confrontation. It's a satisfying snapshot of late-'70s Marvel at its team-up best.
