The Amazing Spider-Man #555
In "Sometimes It Snows in April," Peter Parker turns to Dr. Strange for help when a sudden blizzard traps New York City—only to receive a cryptic warning about a threat arriving at 4:00 p.m. With time on his hands, Peter juggles a mundane photo assignment from Bennett before rushing to stop a sudden attack by a group of Mayan warriors targeting an innocent man. Spidey and Wolverine team up to subdue the attackers, but their victory brings unexpected complications when the police arrive to arrest Spider-Man. Written by Zeb Wells and illustrated by Chris Bachalo, with inks by Tim Townsend and colors by Antonio Fabela and Bachalo, this 2008 issue blends supernatural tension with grounded character moments. The cover, by Bachalo and Townsend, captures the storm’s eerie stillness just before the chaos begins.
