Savage Dragon #33

Issue #33 of Erik Larsen's long-running Image series delivers a genuinely unsettling cover: a figure in a torn medical uniform and surgical mask looms over a screaming, upside-down character with lightning-bolt tattoos on their temples, while in the background the green-skinned Dragon — badge visible, a needle pressed to his own temple — emits a choked "CHOKE." Larsen's pencils and inks wring real tension out of the composition, making the medical setting feel anything but safe. A striking November 1996 entry that uses its cover to pose more questions than it answers.
