Ukyo becomes depressed when her 10-year Okonomiyaki sauce turns out to have a bitter taste, not knowing that Ranma spilled the sauce ten years ago and substituted his own concoction to cover his tracks. Out of sympathy, the Tendos invite her to stay with them, increasing the friction between Ranma and Akane.
