Happosai

Happosai is a lecherous old martial arts grandmaster in Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2, serving as the founder of the Anything-Goes Martial Arts school. Despite his tiny, frail appearance, he is extraordinarily powerful and causes constant chaos through his obsessive theft of women's undergarments.

Few characters make an entrance quite like Happosai, who burst onto the Viz Comics scene in 1995 as part of Rumiko Takahashi's beloved Ranma 1/2 — one of the most iconic manga properties ever brought to Western readers. Debuting in issue #5 and sharing his chaotic world with fan favorites like Ranma Saotome, Akane Tendo, and the Saotome and Tendo families, this Copper/Modern Age troublemaker proved memorable enough to follow the series across multiple parts through 2003.
