Master of Kung Fu #25

Issue #25 of Marvel's long-running martial-arts series puts Shang-Chi right in the thick of it — the cover by Ron Wilson and Joe Sinnott shows him in his red outfit, mid-flying kick, simultaneously holding off a ring of four bare-chested attackers armed with wooden clubs. The surrounding tagline, "Fists of Fury — Rites of Death!", perfectly captures the high-stakes, outnumbered tension that made this 1975 series one of Marvel's most kinetic. With interior work from writer Doug Moench and artist Paul Gulacy, this is a fine place to experience the Master of Kung Fu at his most tested.
