Master of Kung Fu #24

Issue #24 of Master of Kung Fu lands in January 1975 with a cover that puts Shang-Chi in immediate danger — surrounded by blue-masked assassins in a jungle setting, he fights with bare-handed ferocity as the tagline warns he's "caught in a deadly cross-fire." Gil Kane's pencils and Mike Esposito's inks give the scene a kinetic, almost airborne energy, with bodies mid-strike across every inch of the image. Titled "The Night of the Assassin," this one promises the martial-arts action that Marvel's series had made its signature by this point in its run.
