In "Weapon of the Soul," small-time criminal Demmy Marston bets everything on capturing Shang-Chi, hiring the deadly ex-samurai Korain—once tied to Fu Manchu’s shadowy network. When Korain falls in battle, his body collapses under the strain of Fu Manchu’s elixir, and the aftermath leaves Marston’s girlfriend Diana dead by Korain’s own blade.

In "Season of Vengeance...", Shang-Chi finds himself hunted by Demmy Marston, who blames him for the death of his girlfriend at the hands of Korain. In "A Fortune of Death!", Shang-Chi finds himself in a deadly twist at a quiet dinner when the restaurant staff turn out to be assassins. Forced into action, he thwarts Fu Manchu’s deadly plan while rescuing Sir Denis and Black Jack Tarr, all before preventing a catastrophic attack on Mount Rushmore.

In "Fires of Rebirth," Shang Chi faces his past when Dr. Petrie reappears—alive and entangled in a new conspiracy. With Fu Manchu once again in the shadows, Shang Chi must confront the ghosts of his former life as he navigates a web of betrayal and legacy.
