“When You Wish...”

In "When You Wish...", the Justice League Quarterly #3 (1991) brings together the American and European teams in a high-stakes mission when Mitch Wacky and Kilowog attempt to use a dimensional time transporter to prevent nuclear disaster on Mitch's world. Written by Gerard Jones and Keith Giffen, with art by Mike McKone and inks by Bob Smith, the story follows a team including Captain Atom, Fire, Blue Beetle, Guy Gardner, Ice, Power Girl, Flash, and Silver Sorceress as they pursue the duo through time—only to find themselves accidentally stranded in the era of the original Justice League. The cover, by Bart Sears, captures the moment’s urgency, while Gene D'Angelo’s colors and John Costanza’s lettering bring the cosmic journey to life.

Following a meeting between the American and European teams, Mitch Wacky and Kilowog use a dimensional time transporter in an attempt to save Mitch's world from nuclear devastation. A team of Captain Atom, Fire, Blue Beetle, Guy Gardner, Ice, Power Girl, Flash, and Silver Sorceress follows them to either save them or stop them. Part of the transporter technology is Imskian-based, causing anyone who uses it to shrink. Both teams discover that the past can't be changed and while returning to their own time, the group accidentally gets shunted to the original JLA's time before making it home.
