Who is Blue Jay?

Blue Jay is a superhero from a parallel Earth who first appeared alongside the Champions of Angor, a team of heroes from an alternate dimension. Loosely inspired by Marvel's Yellowjacket, he possesses the ability to shrink in size and fly using wings.

A winged wild card of the Bronze Age, Blue Jay first took flight in the pages of Justice League of America #87 back in 1971, conjured up by Mike Friedrich and Dick Dillin during one of comics' most imaginative eras. Over nearly five decades β€” a remarkable span for any character β€” this DC figure has kept extraordinary company, sharing adventures with the likes of The Flash and Green Lantern across the Justice League titles that defined team-book storytelling. Most at home in Justice League Europe and Justice League America, Blue Jay may not be the loudest name in the room, but any collector who digs into those classic JL runs will find a character with genuine staying power and a debut issue worth hunting down.
