In "Future Features," Jughead's latest theory—sparked by a TV psychiatrist—claims his obsession with food is a stand-in for romantic feelings, leaving Archie skeptical. But when Archie hits a wall with his own love life, he surprisingly agrees to swap crushes for hamburgers, leading to a surprisingly heartfelt (and delicious) experiment. Written by Frank Doyle and illustrated by Dan DeCarlo with inks by Rudy Lapick and letters by Vincent DeCarlo, the issue's cover by Dan DeCarlo and Alison Flood captures the absurdity perfectly.
