Joe: A Real American Hero series, continuing the ongoing adventures of the iconic team as they battle the terrorist organization Cobra. Written by Larry Hama with art by various artists, these issues delve deeper into the characters and conflicts that defined the classic franchise.
In "Double-Blinded!!!", the hunt for the mysterious Blue Ninjas intensifies as Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow (with Boris), and Cobra Commander each pursue separate leads—only for the enemy to strike back with deadly precision. With Boris dead and the Blue Ninjas infiltrating Broca Beach through Revanche Robotics, Cobra Commander’s world unravels when a returning Viper trooper discovers his family murdered and his uniforms stolen. Meanwhile, Duke, Scarlett, and Stalker lend a hand to Snake-Eyes, who’s receiving unexpected aid from the Baroness. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by S. L. Gallant, with inks by Gary Erskine, colors by Andrew Crossley, and letters by Shawn Lee, the cover by Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema captures the tension of a war where trust is the first casualty.
In "Double-Blinded!!!", the hunt for the mysterious Blue Ninjas takes a deadly turn when their attack kills Boris and sets a trap at Broca Beach through Revanche Robotics. With Cobra Commander reeling from the discovery of his family's murder and his missing uniforms, the threat escalates as Viper troopers report the carnage—while Duke, Scarlett, and Stalker, on leave, join forces with Snake-Eyes and the Baroness to unravel the conspiracy.
In "Feeling Blue" – Part 1, Storm Shadow, still recovering from his injuries, discovers the Crimson Guard he once trusted may be infiltrated by Blue ninjas—posing as loyalists. As he grapples with the betrayal, he escapes the hospital before police can question him, while Cobra forces rush to the Commander’s aid, landing their fuel-depleted helicopters and commandeering a freighter to reach Broca Beach.
In "Feeling Blue" – Part 2, the freighter becomes a battleground as the Blue Ninjas close in on the Commander, forcing a desperate alliance between the Joes, Cobra, and even the Baroness—backed by Mindbender and the B.A.T.S.—to hold the line. As Storm Shadow moves toward the fray, he’s joined by Sensei Moskovina, ready to confront the cyborg ninjas in a clash that could shift the tide.
In "null," Duke, Stalker, and Scarlett arrive at Broca Beach to bolster Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow as they face off against the Blue Ninjas. When Cobra Commander’s battle armor turns the tide by defeating the cyborg BN-001, the victory is short-lived—his next move is to capture the G.I. Joe team.
