In "Snake Hunt Part 1," Snake Eyes is testing his skills against four fellow Joes at Fort Wadsworth when a Cobra drone infiltrates the motor pool—only for him to dismantle it with precision. In "Snake Hunt Part 3," Snake Eyes is aboard a Cobra ASPID fleet fleeing New York, guarded by a Night Raven jet escort. As three G.I. Joe pilots launch a daring assault to intercept the convoy, Snake Eyes struggles to break free, but a sudden tranquilizer dart from Laura 343 brings him down.

In "Snake Hunt Part 4," Cobra traps Snake Eyes behind formidable defenses while preparing the Brainwave Scanner, pushing the G.I. Joe team to their limits. With Zartan freeing Destro and the Baroness from Revanche, and an Oktober Guard infiltrator possibly among them, Joe Colton and Jane lose their satellite surveillance. As Storm Shadow and the other ninjas pledge to rescue Snake Eyes, Snake Eyes' father, Wade, arrives at Fort Wadsworth to lend his aid.

In "Snake Hunt Part 5," the Joes' mission to rescue Snake Eyes is abruptly canceled by the Department of Defense, leaving the team fractured. With the Dreadnoks successfully extracting Destro and the Baroness, a shocking alliance begins to form—while some Joes, including Jo, secretly prepare unauthorized rescues, and nearly every member of the Pit petitions for leave to join the effort.
