“Grilled Stone Slabs”

In "Grilled Stone Slabs," Carl Barks delivers a zany espionage caper as the ducks race to intercept a secret message meant for the glamorous spy Madame Triple-X. After a frantic train journey to Chiliburgeria, Donald Duck takes on the role of a flamboyant bullfighter named Donaldo el Quacko in a bid to outwit the enemy, all drawn in Barks’ signature dynamic style. The cover by Carl Buettner captures the chaos in bold, energetic lines.
