The Complete Carl Barks Disney Library #[10]
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis volume collects Carl Barks' classic Donald Duck adventures featuring the nefarious Beagle Boys, as they plot their most audacious heists against Donald and Uncle Scrooge. The stories showcase Barks' signature blend of slapstick humor, intricate plotting, and vivid artwork, with appearances by Daisy Duck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, as well as Gladstone Gander and Grandma Duck. Part of Fantagraphics' comprehensive Complete Carl Barks Library series, this edition presents the tales in restored color with scholarly notes.
In "Terror of the Beagle Boys," Carl Barks delivers a high-stakes spy caper where the ducks race to intercept a secret message meant for the glamorous spy Madame Triple-X. With a wild train journey and a disguise as the flamboyant bullfighter Donaldo el Quacko, Donald Duck takes center stage in a chase that’s equal parts chaos and cunning—all drawn and inked with Barks’ signature flair, and colored by Rich Tommaso. The cover, also by Barks, captures the scene’s zany energy in bold, dynamic lines.
