In "Flash Gordon and the Sentries of Dark Mountain," Flash, Dale, and Zarkov are ambushed by flying automatons after a forced landing on the lost continent of Mongo. With Dale injured, Flash ventures into the ominous Dark Mountain to find medicine, only to be captured by ancient guardians—androids Rhea and Thurlon—created by long-dead Ancients to defend the mountain’s secrets. As he battles to survive, Flash must outwit the mechanical sentinels and find a way to save his companions, uncovering a possible escape route to the sea.
