Ape

Ape is a young Morlock — one of Marvel's community of outcast mutants living in the tunnels beneath New York City. Associated with fellow Morlocks Leech and Tar Baby, Ape first encountered the young heroes of Power Pack in that underground world.

Ape made their Marvel debut in the pages of Power Pack #12 in 1985, a Bronze Age introduction courtesy of the acclaimed creative team of Louise Simonson and June Brigman. Over nearly four decades of publication history, this character has carved out a modest but enduring niche in the Marvel Universe, turning up most frequently in X-Factor and Power Pack alongside a fascinating roster of companions — including Leech, Tar Baby, and heavy-hitters like Hank McCoy and Scott Summers.
