Archie's Double Digest Magazine #59
In "Digging the Diamond," Miss Grundy makes a surprising case to Mr. Weatherbee, arguing that Archie’s antics stem from good intentions gone awry. Touched by her words, Mr. Weatherbee vows to treat Archie fairly—though Archie, ever the worrier, misinterprets the promise as a dire warning. The story, illustrated with classic charm by Stan Goldberg, features a memorable cover by Dan DeCarlo and Alison Flood.
