“Under Observation”

Archie and his friend stand cheerfully at a school suggestions box — papers in hand and plenty more to drop in — while a stone-faced Mr. Weatherbee watches from his Principal's doorway with arms crossed and a decidedly unamused expression. Veronica and Betty look on from the foreground, and a tiny top-corner vignette of a magnifying-glass-wielding detective hints at the mischief afoot in the story titled "Under Observation." Cover pencils and inks by Jon D'Agostino give the whole scene that warm, breezy Riverdale charm that made 1970 Archie Series comics such a delight.
