Javier Pulido
1970–
Javier Pulido is a Spanish comic book artist best known for his clean, expressive linework and deft storytelling on American superhero titles. Born in 1970, he broke into the industry in the mid-1990s and quickly made his mark with a distinctive style that combines dynamic layouts with a subtle, often playful sense of character. Pulido is perhaps most celebrated for his runs on *Human Target* and *She-Hulk*, where his crisp, modern approach brought a fresh energy to familiar characters. He also collaborated on *Robin: Year One*, and his work on *The Amazing Spider-Man* and *The Incredible Hulk* further cemented his reputation. Among his notable co-creations is the *Amazing Spider-Man Presents: Black Cat* series. Pulido’s art is characterized by its clarity and economy of line, often using bold silhouettes and inventive panel compositions. He has worked as an artist, colorist, inker, letterer, and writer across a career spanning from 1996 to 2025, with over 90 credited issues. While less prolific than some peers, his influence on modern comic art is significant, and his work remains admired for its elegance and narrative intelligence.
