Human Target #3
Part two of "The Unshredded Man" arrives with a cover that's a clever collage of anxiety and mystery — missing-person flyers, a struggling figure rendered in stark grayscale, snippets of other faces, and an American flag all layered together in a way that feels genuinely unsettling. Javier Pulido's design sensibility turns the whole thing into a kind of fractured dossier, perfectly suited to a series built around questions of identity. Peter Milligan's Vertigo run on Human Target was already earning its "Suggested for Mature Readers" label by this point in 2003, and this issue's visual tension makes it easy to see why.
