The Shade #6

Tony Harris delivers a deeply unsettling close-up for this sixth chapter of James Robinson and Javier Pulido's 2012 series — a blood-smeared face with glowing, inhuman eyes looms large, while tiny figures of the Shade himself and a cloaked adversary struggle violently within the crimson expanse of the figure's chest. The composition cleverly nests the heroes' conflict inside something monstrous, hinting at a threat that quite literally dwarfs them. "Las Cinco Esquinas" promises the kind of moody, gothic adventure that makes this limited series such a rewarding read.
