Gary Leach
Gary Leach (born 1957) is an American comics creator best known for his extensive work in the Disney comics field, where he has served as writer, letterer, colorist, and production manager. He entered the industry in the late 1980s, with his first three Disney stories—all starring Scrooge McDuck and Donald Duck—illustrated by Don Rosa and published in 1988. Leach’s writing has since been drawn by artists including William Van Horn, and all his comics are set in the Donald Duck universe. Beyond scripting, he has contributed articles on Disney comics and originated ideas for numerous covers. Leach has also worked as an editor on several manga titles for VIZ Media, including *Red River*, *D.Gray-man*, and *Uzumaki*. He is married to colorist and letterer Susan Daigle-Leach, a frequent collaborator. In our catalog, Leach is credited across 67 issues from 1989 to 2025, with his most notable credits appearing in *Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Adventures*, *The Complete Carl Barks Disney Library*, and *Walt Disney's Uncle Scrooge*. His career reflects a steady, behind-the-scenes influence on the visual and narrative quality of licensed Disney comics.
