Image's 1994 launch of Boof announces itself with cheerful, anarchic energy — the cover by John Cleary throws a snarling, horned creature charging straight at the viewer, a grinning blonde girl riding along behind it, while an armored robot looms in the background amid a burst of action lines and clouds. The exaggerated, rubbery cartoon style makes it clear this series isn't taking itself too seriously, and "Boof's N' The Hood" promises the same irreverent spirit inside.
