Halfway through J. Michael Straczynski and Chris Weston's twelve-issue limited series, issue #6 puts the spotlight squarely on Rockman — "Mysterious Denizen of Subterranea" and Underground Secret Agent — whose cover promises "A Startling Story from the Center of the Earth!" Paolo Rivera's painted cover captures the character in a dynamic, lunging pose, red-gloved fists raised and helmet glowing as debris and light erupt around him from below. It's a moody, atmospheric showcase for one of Marvel's more enigmatic Golden Age characters, rendered with real painterly weight.
